The Power of Meditation for True Freedom

The mind in the present moment is called meditation. Usually, your mind is either obsessed with the past or anxious about the future. Both of which are in no way helping you grow. When your mind is in the present moment, your thoughts will become clear, you will have laser-sharp focus, and your actions will be spontaneous. A mind without any agitation or hesitation is called meditation.

Meditation is like giving food to the subtle body and energy to the physical body. In the post-pandemic phase, many are not able to face the challenges and cope with the loss. Stress, fear, anxiety, and depression cases were increasing day by day. Meditation plays a pivotal role in uncertain times and helps you bounce back with high energy levels. This article helps you get a few insights into the benefits of meditation

The power of meditation for inner freedom.

1. Freedom from fear

Fear is the cause of orderliness. Fear is an intense sensation in the body where your body trembles, your breath is shaky, and there is a tendency to hold on to something. There is a feeling of contraction, non-belongingness, and a sense of void. When you meditate, there is a feeling of expansion within you, and the same fear flips into love and gives you inner freedom.

Meditation brings fearlessness and yet concern.

2. Freedom from feverishness

Many desires come into our minds and pull us in different directions. When you are in the grip of feverishness, it clogs your head, your mind is unclear, and you will not have even one creative thought. In feverishness, the breath becomes heavier and the body becomes unbearable. When you meditate, you become centered and free from within. Faith and confidence dawn on you. You become more aware and focused on everything happening around you. You will be the source of creativity, happiness, joy, and love. Your ability to enjoy and fulfill your desires increases with meditation.

3. Freedom from foolishness

It is foolish to be perturbed by foolishness. Conflicting thoughts create friction in the mind. When you are not well-founded in wisdom, foolishness perturbs you and throws you out of balance. Meditation brings the most needed balance to you, and you remain unmoved by things around you. As you meditate daily, you bring all aspects of yourself together, and then you relax, let go, and lose the ignorance.

4. Fulfilling life

When your mind is continuously obsessed with the past or planning for the future, there is no happiness in life. Your entire life is a futile exercise to express the inexpressible. You enliven in whatever you put your attention on. When you meditate, you feel oneness with the whole universe. You feel complete. You become happy and do everything as an expression of happiness.

5. Fountain of love

Our feelings, thoughts, and emotions are continuously changing. The body has undergone a tremendous change. Something that is not changing is present deep within you. In meditation, one experiences the feeling of changelessness, the transcendental experience. Seeing that experience as a living reality, even when you are in activity, is freedom. When you meditate, you become a fountain of love, and a fountain can never be thirsty.

The sun shines through the window, but the window is not the sun. If you hold on to the window and think of it as the sun, that is wrong. The sun is only shining through the window. In the same way, the human body is also like a window for divinity to shine through. Meditation helps you get close to yourself and awakens the divinity in you. When you awaken the divinity in you, life becomes a pursuit of happiness. Then you will be able to lead a fulfilling life free from fear, foolishness, and feverishness.
